Dreams becoming reality!

Co-founder and Sports Coach Wesley Firkins writes:

“Rise Community Sports is now well and truly under way. It has been a delightful first half term delivering sports sessions in the community of Welsh House Farm and we plan for many many more fun sessions to come over the summer and beyond.

The founding team, ‘Steve and Wesley,’ have been over the moon by the turnout and commitment shown from the young people across the Welsh House Farm estate. In the sessions this week we celebrated this by giving out goodie bags for all young people who have attended the majority of sessions and participated well.

We are also really chuffed to announce our partnership with Lordswood Girls School and Lordswood Boys School. They have been very keen to invest in what Rise Community Sports has to offer. We are really looking forward to running weekly extra-curricular sessions in these schools from September 2014.

Our dream, which started with a short conversation many months ago, has become real. It is happening and we are creating a sporting legacy on Welsh House Farm!”
